Iranian Natural Gums and Resins
Iran is among the principal sources of the oleo-gum-resins used in food, pharmaceutical, perfumery and industrial manufacturing. Pars Herbs collects and sorts five of them for export: tragacanth (Astragalus gossypinus), galbanum (Ferula gummosa), ammoniacum (Dorema ammoniacum), mastic (Pistacia lentiscus) and astragalus gum (A. fasciculifolius).
Each is harvested by incision from wild or semi-cultivated stands, then cleaned and sorted by hand before export packing. Grade depends on colour, clarity and the proportion of bark and foreign matter. Specifications are available per consignment.
